Mission
Our Mission is to provide custody and rehabilitation to members of the correctional population through the implementation of quality services, the integration, combination and innovation of educational programs, faith programs, and community reintegration programs.
We are an entity that promotes social changes; transforming the knowledge of years of service into values and actions for the benefit of our inmates, our employees and the general public. The Department of Correction and Rehabilitation has very clear objectives in its Mission, in three fundamental areas: Efficiency, Training and Reintegration.
Efficiency in administrative functions and processes is increasingly necessary to optimize the results of our agency; Staff training ranges from handling new instruments and how to use them, to techniques to transform their knowledge into a sense of solidarity and belonging ; Through the strengthening of the will and the acquisition of all the necessary abilities and skills, the inmate will achieve reintegration into society.
These three objectives are the essential ingredient to achieve institutional success until reaching administrative excellence.
We undertake this Mission with an ambitious enthusiasm, stimulated by the constant search for improvement.
Vision
It is our vision to make a difference, inspiring optimism, providing a return to our citizens by reflecting the excellent performance of our agency; with adequate compensation to those who invest their dreams, ideas and work in our goals.
